Virginia Beach Vacation

We visited two museums while we were in Virginia Beach, the Nauticus (The National Maritime Center),
and the Virginia Marine Science Museum.

The Battleship Wisconsin (aka the Wisky) is moored outside of the Nauticus.  It has had an illustrious past
in the second world war.

On the main deck, which is covered with teak wood, and was scrubbed with firebrick
by its deck hands when she was at sea.  This is one of the two mighty turrets that spin
and house the munitions and men that operate her.

In one of the bunks where the men slept.

We also went to the Marine Science Center, which was very near our hotel.  This fish tank is really the side of a large
pond affording you a clear view of the fish under water.

We met up with a big shark.  Yikes!
